Edinburgh, Scotland
A core objective of the project was to support Karl Storz’s clinical messaging with a visual identity that felt both premium and understated. The stand featured a deep navy blue backdrop that conveyed authority and trust, perfectly suited to their medical audience. High res graphics presented clear product imagery, including endoscopic equipment and procedural visuals, enabling delegates to immediately understand the context and capabilities of the technology on display.
Two integrated screens were mounted directly onto the main wall panel, one featuring live or looping product demonstrations, and the other showing technical detail or procedural footage. This dual screen approach provided visitors with both a broad and focused view of Karl Storz solutions, supporting the needs of clinicians, surgeons, and technical specialists attending the event. The layout ensured the screens were visible from multiple approach angles, increasing dwell time and visitor engagement.
To create a welcoming and comfortable meeting space, the stand incorporated a wood effect flooring area with a central round table and stools. This warm, natural texture contrasted effectively with the technical tone of the display walls, striking a balance between high tech innovation and human interaction. This space supported relaxed discussion, product explanation, and deeper conversations with visiting medical professionals.
Two Aluvision counters were placed at the front of the stand, each designed with a modern combination of white framing and horizontal wooden slats. These counters served both as presentation surfaces and as functional storage, enabling the Karl Storz team to keep materials, literature, and accessories close at hand while maintaining a tidy and uncluttered appearance. Their placement helped define the boundary of the stand while preserving an open and inviting feel.
Lighting was carefully managed to highlight the key visual elements on the stand. The illuminated branding at the top right provided excellent visibility, while the dark matte backdrop minimised glare on the displays and helped the digital content stand out. The overall look conveyed precision, cleanliness and technological excellence, all central to the Karl Storz brand.
Guardian Display handled all installation and site coordination to ensure the stand was delivered seamlessly in the busy set-up environment of the Edinburgh venue. Our team ensured every element from screen mounting and structural assembly to graphic alignment and finishing met stringent quality expectations and reflected the high standards associated with Karl Storz.
The final stand delivered a strong, professional presence at SUI, allowing Karl Storz to showcase innovation while fostering meaningful engagement with urology specialists and medical decision-makers. This project highlights Guardian Display’s ability to create exhibition environments that combine strong brand expression with functional, clinical-appropriate design, perfect for medical and scientific events.
